A transparency website has been created that allows visitors to compare and contrast government spending across nearly 40 states. Who put this together? Some Stanford University students.
Don't let the name – California Common Sense – fool you. Though it offers much data about The Golden State, this highly visual website allows you to compare public servant pay by position, state-to-state expenditures by category, and much more.
