The latest member of the SPN team is Holly Jackson, who has climbed aboard to serve as director of external relations.

Among her responsibilities, Jackson coordinates SPN fundraising programs, which includes direct mail program activities, major gifts and foundation outreach. She also serves as a resource for SPN members as they seek funding for their programs and projects. In addition to fundraising, she helps forge ties between SPN members and national organizations.

In her networking role, Holly builds partnerships and collaboration opportunities for state groups with Washington, D.C.-based organizations and other allies. "In both fundraising and outreach capacities, I am always excited to work with our member groups to help grow their organizations and facilitate success," Said Holly.

Prior to joining SPN, Holly worked in nonprofit fundraising at the Alliance for School Choice and Competitive Enterprise Institute. Both organizations are SPN associate members located in D.C.

Holly taught the fourth grade in her native North Carolina before moving to our country's Capital to join the public policy arena. She notes, "In the classroom I felt first-hand how policies made in Washington affect everyday Americans." This experience prompted Holly to pack her bags and join the policy discussion as a career.

Holly earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She resides in northern Virginia, where she is actively involved with The Falls Church. When not attending a policy forum or roundtable, Holly enjoys long weekends in New York City or wandering Main Street in small coastal or mountain towns.

About SPN

State Policy Network is made up of free market think tanks - at least one in every state - fighting to limit government and advance market-friendly public policy at the state and local levels. SPN and our members make the Founders' vision for the American Republic a reality as the nation's only 50-state distribution network for market-oriented public policy ideas. Our programs advance and defend American liberty and free enterprise by assisting new start-up organizations, growing existing state think tanks, recruiting talent to the think tank industry, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting the free-market state movement.
