Heartland's International Conference on Climate Change Provides Resources for Think Tanks
The world's largest-ever gathering of global warming skeptics (realists) took place in New York City on March 8-10, 2009, to confront the issue, "Global Warming: Was it Ever Really a Crisis?"
About 800 scientists, economists, legislators, policy activists, and media representatives attended the event, which took place at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel. Produced by The Heartland Institute and 60 co-sponsoring organizations, the conference was devoted to answering questions overlooked by the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
More than 75 papers and keynote addresses were presented by some of the world's leading climatologists, economists, policy makers, and opinion leaders. Presentations, video footage, and papers presented at the event are all available on Heartlands website and can be used as a resource for think tanks and research organizations across the nation.
Resources from the conference are available here.
