Arthur C. In addition, Mr. Brooks will offer a sneak peak and share insights from his forthcoming book, The Battle: How the Fight between Free Enterprise and Big Government Will Shape America's Future (Basic Books, June 1st), including a plan of action to defend our free market values. This is a critical and timely message that impacts how state and national leaders can regain the upper hand in the policy and culture wars.
Arthur C. Brooks is the president of the American Enterprise Institute. Previously, he was the Louis A. Bantle Professor of Business and Government Policy at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He is the author of Who Really Cares (Basic Books, 2006), which examines American charitable giving; Gross National Happiness: Why Happiness Matters for America-and How We Can Get More of It (Basic Books, 2008); and a textbook on social entrepreneurship.
