Betsy Thraves serves as executive assistant to SPN's vice president for development. Betsy has had a colorful and varied career. She has been a high school teacher of business courses, economics, and history. For nine years she served conservative political leaders and elected officials in Washington in administrative capacities, and afterwards enjoyed ten years as a missionary in the then newly independent Republic of Latvia. Shortly after completing her work there, Betsy returned to the Washington area to join the current battle to preserve liberty, free enterprise, and limited government in the U.S., which is when her path crossed SPN's. Her other passions include photography, writing, teaching, reading, dogs, and travel. Betsy lives in South Carolina.
